Mobile operators, «Selcom» and «Golan Telecom» has filed a petition to the Ministry of communications about the merger within the framework of the concluded in early November deals.
At the end of last week the company applied for permission for the merger to the competition authority.
These two structures must agree to the deal that it was held. By agreement of the parties, if the deal is blocked, «Golan Telecom» will be forced to pay a «Celcom» multi-million compensation.
Thus the management of the Ministry of communications have repeatedly stated that it will not agree to the deal. Moreover, last week it became known that the Ministry is going to confiscate made «Golan Telecom» bail for violating the terms of the license.
Recall that the «Golan Telecom», which received the full license of the operator, according to its terms have by January 2016 to expand its network covering 40% of the country.
However, the company not only continued to expand the network after the first deployment phase, but also dismantled the antennas that were already installed, acting, de facto, as a virtual mobile operator on the basis of «Selcom».
