Sunday, 7 February, the world court in Nazareth, Israel sentenced a member of the Knesset Hanin Zuabi (United Arab list) to six months of imprisonment conditionally and to the penalty in the amount of three thousand shekels.
The sentence was imposed under the pre-trial deal.
Zuabi had previously been found guilty of insulting officials. The MP has pleaded innocent of the charges against her actions.
With Zuabi was cleared of charges of incitement to violence.
The investigation against Hanin Zuabi began in July 2014. Legal adviser to the government ordered police to check whether the corpus delicti in the actions Zuabi during a visit to the magistrates ‘ court of Natzeret, where he had considered the request to extend the period of detention of Arabs who participated in the riots.
There Zuabi appealed to the police to Arabs and said that «those who act against their own people, you need to sweep the streets, and they need to spit in the face.» She added that «the police should be afraid of Arab youth».
