On the morning of 7 June in Tehran, unknown gunmen attacked the building of the Iranian Parliament and the mausoleum of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. Reported killed and at least ten wounded.
Information about the incident in Parliament highly controversial. According to some reports, the attacker was alone. He was able to penetrate the lobby and open fire. Were wounded a guard and two visitors who came to the meeting with the deputies.
After that the attacker tried to escape. The Fars news Agency quoted a member of the Presidium of the Majlis Akbar Rangebased, reported that he was detained. Later, it was reported that the guard died from his wounds.
While Rangebased said that all the attackers were up to four and wounded eight people. Other participants of the attack are still in the Parliament, which periodically hear shooting.
Also attacked the mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini, who died exactly 28 years ago. Reported three attackers, two of whom were armed with machine guns, and the third a suicide belt.
