Tuesday, July 11, at the Ministry of foreign Affairs was held the ceremony of signing of the Protocol on the implementation of the Treaty between Russia and Israel on the payment of pensions.
The signing of the Protocol will allow tens of thousands of Israelis-natives of Russia to pension benefits for years of work in Russia.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of labour and social protection RF Maxim Topilin, his Israeli counterpart Haim Katz, and Minister of aliyah and immigrant absorption Sofa Landwehr, environment Minister for Jerusalem Affairs Zeev Elkin.
We will remind, on conclusion of the agreement between Russia and Israel on the payment of pensions, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced in December 2016. However, the Ministry of labour of Russia and the Ministry of social services of Israel could not agree on the place and time of the signing of the administrative agreement, after signing which the parties should exchange instruments of ratification.
The Russian Embassy in Israel said that the Treaty will enter into force on the first day of the third month following the date of exchange of instruments of ratification.
