In Moscow began a spontaneous procession of citizens protesting against the renovation program, reported on 6 June, the website of the TV channel «Rain».
The procession began at the walls of the state Duma, where at 14:00 started the hearings on the renovation programme. In front of the gathered Muscovites, who oppose the house demolitions, which was not allowed inside. Later to the building of the lower house of Parliament pulled the OMON and the police, who urged them to disperse.
After that, people holding hands, went to the Ilinka street to the reception building of the Russian presidential administration, chanting «This is our city!» and «Sobyanin resign!».
Earlier in the day, mayor Sergei Sobyanin promised the citizens that the new program will be much better than the one that operated the last twenty years.
According to the mayor, no one was interested in the opinion of the residents, and it was not possible to exit the program. Now at any stage it will be sufficient consent-thirds of the inhabitants of the house. Also Muscovites will be given legal guarantees for the resettlement in the same district, ensuring the protection of property rights and other benefits.
According to Sobyanin, more than half of the residents of the buildings included in the renovation programme has already been voted. Almost 90% expressed support for this plan, the website of radio station «Echo of Moscow».
