The ruling party South Africa «African national Congress» intends to put forward the formal requirement of resignation addressed to the President of the country Jacob Zuma, reports BBC.
If 75-year-old Zuma refuses to comply with the requirement of the party, it is waiting for a vote of no confidence in Parliament.
Earlier, the party leadership invited the President to voluntarily leave the post, however, Zuma refused.
Jacob Zuma is President of South Africa since 2009. In December last year, Zuma was dismissed from his post as head of the ruling party. Since then, the incumbent President, who is accused of corruption, forced to resign.
