The South Korean authorities in connection with the recent testing by the DPRK of ballistic missiles made the decision to stop working their companies in the Kaesong industrial Park, which was founded jointly with the DPRK, 2004, a few kilometers from the border with South Korea, reports AP.
Industrial complex since 2005 produced more than $ 3 billion. In the industrial zone are 124 South Korean companies and employs approximately 54 thousand inhabitants of the DPRK.
The South Korean authorities promised to provide existing companies in Kaesong financial compensation. Of South Koreans who are in Kaesong will begin evacuating Thursday.
