The morality police of Saudi Arabia, its official name is the Commission for promotion of virtue and the suppression of sin, forbade the separation of the coffee shop chain Starbucks to serve women.
The reason for this was the collapse of the wall dividing the interior into male and female halves. Representatives of the Commission found a «problem» during a routine inspection of the establishment. According to the Manager, the wall collapsed, unable to withstand the onslaught of visitors.
It is expected that the repair will last about two weeks. During this period the door will decorate the inscription in Arabic and English, in which clients are asked to send coffee for the driver.
«Starbucks in Saudi Arabia with respect to local customs. We have provided separate entrances for families and singles. Now everything is done for early resumption of work in full», — said in a statement.
