Rescuers called off the search for three American Marines, missing in the crash of a tiltrotor MV-22 Osprey assigned to the base marine Corps U.S. Okinawa, Fox News reports.
Families of Marines were notified about their deaths.
Recall that the tiltrotor MV-22 Osprey crashed in Shoalwater Bay off the coast of Queensland on 4 August. On Board were 26 people, of whom managed to save 23.
According to an official statement the marine Corps of the United States, the plane took off from the deck of the amphibious assault ship Bonhomme Richard, the aircraft before the crash made «regularly scheduled the surgery when he fell in the water.»
