In the night of Wednesday, August 2, from Kourou in French Guiana was successfully launched the carrier rocket Vega with two satellites on Board.
As noted by RIA Novosti, the launch was broadcast on the website of the French company Arianespace.
The orbit was withdrawn two satellites: OPTSAT-3000, intended for the Ministry of defence of Italy, and Venus, intended for the project of the Israeli space Agency (ISA) and the National centre for space studies of France (CNES).
Both of these satellites were manufactured in Israel. As reported NEWSru.co.il, these satellites were developed in the Israeli defense enterprises of the concern «Aviation industry» (IAI, TAA).
Scientific satellite of Venus was created by TAA in cooperation with companies «a’s» and «Raphael» by order of the space agencies of Israel and France. The satellite weighing 265 pounds created for two tasks. The first 2.5 years the satellite will take heliosynchronous orbit at which, passing every two days on the same place, will photograph the surface of the earth at one and the same sunlight. The operation of the satellite during this period is designed to study ecological systems, vegetation, pollution of water bodies. In the second phase the main task of the satellite will be the test developed in Israel electric ion engine, Hall effect.
Satellite OPTSAT-3000 was created by Israeli concern for the Ministry of defense of Italy.
Rocket launch from Kourou in the night of Wednesday was the eighth launch from this site from the beginning of the year and the tenth launch for Vega 2012.
