Her Majesty’s government intend shortly to issue a ban on the boycott of goods and services produced in Israel.
According to the Sunday Times, the ban will apply to municipal structures, foundations, health care systems, Universities, student organisations, trade unions and other public organisations.
The details of the ban will be published this week during the visit to Israel of Minister of state for civil service reform Matthew Hancock.
The newspaper notes that the formal decree would prohibit public agencies to boycott or call for a boycott of any state, a member of the world trade organization.
According to Hancock, the calls for boycott contribute to the deterioration of British-Israeli relations and the spread of anti-Semitism.
