One of the suspects of involvement in the terrorist attack on the Champs Elysees in Paris, where as a result of an armed attack killed two police officers voluntarily came to the police station in the Belgian city of Antwerp, the Agency France Presse.
The evening of 20 April in the centre of Paris, on the Champs Elysees, an armed man opened fire in the direction of the police. One police officer was killed on the spot, two were injured. Later one of the wounded died.
On the night of 21 April the terrorist group «Islamic state» has claimed responsibility for the attack on the police in Paris also called the nickname of the slain militants: Abu Yusuf al-Belgiki. In the message of the IG explained that this name was given him because he was a native of Belgium.
The Associated Press, in turn, citing law enforcement sources reported that after the attack, investigators raided the town of Chelles (Seine et Marne) in the apartment of 39-year-old Karim Chorfi, who 16 years ago was prosecuted in the case of assault on police.
