Swiss police are making arrests of FIFA officials involved in a corruption scandal, reports the New York Times. Arrested were football people, who arrived to the FIFA Executive Committee.
Several people were arrested at the hotel Baur au Lac, where arrests were made at the end of may. Among those arrested, the head of CONMEBOL (Confederation of South American football) Juan angel Naputol and Vice-President of FIFA Alfredo Hawit.
The article stresses that Sepp Blatter and Jerome Walke not arrested.
Police entered the hotel around six in the morning.
According to the newspaper, are arrested about 10 officials, mostly representing CONMEBOL and CONCACAF.
