Allowed to publish information about the decision of the special Commission for the Northern district parole of offenders transferred to the Nazareth district court, according to which Yusuf Abu al-hir, who was sentenced to 15 life terms and 30 years in prison advanced, but released in the 80-ies in the framework of the «Jibril deal,» will serve a life sentence in connection with a violation of the terms of the transaction.
According to published information, a resident of Akko Yusuf Abu al-hir, was arrested by Israeli security services in 1969. The court found him guilty of involvement in a series of attacks on the railway, the beaches and in residential areas, which killed two Israelis and dozens of people were injured. Al-Heer stayed in prison for only 14 years, he was released on 23 November 1983, together with approximately 4800 inmates serving sentences in the prisons of Israel and Lebanon, the first stage deals with a terrorist group «PFLP-GC» Ahmad Jibril in exchange for six Israeli soldiers. The release was the expulsion from the country. A few days after his release from prison al-Heer left Israel.
It is known that in recent years, Yusuf Abu al-hir has lived in Greece and sent a request to the interior Ministry and the Israeli Supreme court about the conditions of return to their homeland. The court ruled that al-Heer, back in Israel, violated the conditions of his parole, and therefore must now serve the full sentence imposed on him by the military court in 1969.
