Israeli defense Corporation «the Aerospace of Maarahot» presented its new development – unmanned anti-submarine boat, Seagull, designed to combat submarines and naval mines.
A ship of 12 metres long is capable to be in Autonomous navigation for 96 hours. Seagull is equipped with modern radars and navigation systems.
Demonstration of the boats was held on Monday, February 8, in the basin of the Kishon river in Northern Israel.
It should be noted that Seagull is not the first unmanned boat, developed in Israel. Military patrol boat Protector the development of the concern «Rafael» is located since 2008 on the Navy of the IDF and supplied the Navy of Singapore. In 2014, Israeli aircraft industry has presented unmanned patrol boat Katana.
