Monday, 1 February, the antitrust authority announced that it opposed the acquisition of shops of a network «Mega» chain «Rami Levi».
Earlier media reported that the businessman Rami levy is interested in acquiring part-owned shops of a network «Mega». This would have allowed him to open stores of the retail chain «Rami Levi» in residential quarters of the cities. It was reported that the chain «Rami Levi» is negotiating the purchase of shops «mega» in Haifa, Hadera, Arad, Yokneam, Bnei Brak and Petah Tikva.
On January 18 the district court in Lod, Central district provided network «Mega» protection from creditors for a period of 30 days. Temporary managers were appointed Yossi Trabelsi and lawyers Ehud Gindes, and Amir Bar-Tov.
