October 26, UNESCO will vote on a new resolution on the status of the Holy places in Jerusalem, reports Haaretz.
According to published information, it is about resolution, a draft of which was presented by Kuwait, Tunisia and Lebanon on behalf of the Palestinian authority and Jordan, who are not members of UNESCO.
It is noted that the current draft resolution was almost identical to the one that was approved last week. In the current project is saved, the term «occupying forces» but did not specify that we are talking about Israel. The wailing wall is mentioned without quotes.
The present resolution, as well as previous mentions about the connection of the Jewish people with the Holy places in Jerusalem, and speaks only about the relationship of Muslims with them.
It is expected that the current resolution is also approved. According to «Haaretz», the representatives of Israel hope that a few European countries, in particular Finland, Croatia, Poland, Portugal, will vote against it.
