The Royal court Birmingham sentenced a citizen of the United Kingdom Torino Shakil, 26, who fled to Syria together with their year-old son and joined a terrorist gruppirovka IG, to six years in prison.
About it reports on Monday, 1 February, the website of the radio station Voice of America.
In October 2014 Shaquille flew to Turkey, telling the family that goes on vacation. She then crossed the Syrian border and made it to Raqqa – the stronghold of the Islamists.
However, three months later, the woman escaped from the militants and voluntary surrendered to the Turkish military. In February 2015 she was arrested at Heathrow airport.
In court hearings Shaquille denied accession to the IG, claiming that does not support terror, and simply wanted to live under Sharia law.
According to the prosecution, the photos in her phone indicate the opposite: a woman poses with a weapon in his hands, and her little boy dressed in clothes with symbolics of the militants.
