In Moscow continues the tournament of contenders for the title of world chess champion. In the tenth round, Fabiano Caruana beat former world champion Viswanathan Anand.
The grandmasters played in the opening four knights. Caruana sacrificed a pawn for the sake of gaining control in the center of the Board. There was a sharp struggle, but on the 33rd move, black acknowledged defeat.
Sergey Karjakin and Anish Giri played the Meran variant Boleslavsky protection. A draw on the 32nd move. The Dutchman remains the only one of the candidates, in all parties in a draw.
Peter Svidler and Hikaru Nakamura played the English origin. White managed to seize the advantage, but black by the victim managed to equalize the situation. Draw on the 30th move.
Levon Aronian and Veselin Topalov also played the English origin. The parties agreed on a draw on the 58th move.
