On Tuesday evening, February 13, the police issued an official statement regarding the completion of the investigation in cases of 1000 and 2000.

«In the Israel police completed the investigation of cases 1000 and 2000.
*Case of 1000*
In this case it was investigated the suspicions against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of corruption, deception and the undermining of public confidence. Suspicion concerns the relationship of Benjamin Netanyahu with businessman Arnon Melcena and businessman from Australia James Packer, who for several years gave him gifts or have provided a variety of services.
*In the case of 2000, the police investigated suspicions against the Prime Minister and the owner of the newspaper «Yediot Ahronot» Mr. Arnon Mozes. They were suspected of corruption and betrayal of public trust. The police suspects that those offences had been committed against the background of a joint attempt to hinder the development of the newspaper «Israel a-Yom».
*Case of 1000*
After the investigation, in the collected sufficient evidence base to substantiate the suspicions against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Commission of such offenses as bribery, deception and the undermining of public confidence. These offences occurred in the context of his relationship with Arnon Milchem. The police also gathered evidence on which to base the suspicion of such offenses as cheating and undermining public trust in all that concerns its relationship with Australian businessman James Packer.
As for Mr Milchan, according to police collected sufficient evidence base to substantiate the suspicion of such offenses as bribery.
*Case of 2000*
After the investigation, police believe that collected sufficient evidence base to justify the suspicions of the Prime Minister the request for bribery, fraud, and undermine public confidence. The police also believed that collected sufficient evidence base in the Commission of the owner of the newspaper «Yediot Ahronot» Arnon Moses offenses classified as «bribing».
