Director of the Russian academic youth theatre (RAMT) Sophia Apfelbaum rejected the suspicion of fraud, but acknowledged that could prevent negligence in the allocation of budget funds, reports RIA Novosti.
The consequence asks to send Sophia Apfelbaum under house arrest, writes NEWSru.com.
The lawyer Irina Poverennova said Apfelbaum knew nothing about the theft, and only tried to perform official duties. Also the lawyer said that her client poses no danger to society.
According to investigators, Sophia Apfelbaum instructed to develop terms of reference «for the party» auction. This document contained a paragraph stating that the contract must have the copyright or license to the project «Platform».

In 2011, he developed the project for development and promotion of contemporary art «Platform», the implementation of which the Ministry of culture has allocated more than 214 million rubles.
The case also pass the former General producer of the «Seventh Studio»Alex Malopolski, former CEO of the troupe Yuri Itin, chief accountant Nina Masliaev and producer Ekaterina Voronova.
