Manufacturer of ride at the fair in Ohio, where last month in an accident 1 person died and 7 were injured, said that the cause of the incident was «excessive corrosion,» reports CNN.
The accident occurred in the evening of 26 July. One of the gondolas with passengers of the attraction «ball of Fire» during the movement broke away from the structure. Passengers were thrown into the air by 7-10 meters, after which they fell to the ground at a considerable distance from the attraction.
As a result of accident 18-year-old boy died on the spot. Seven people, aged 14 to 42 years, were hospitalized.
