Chairman of the us joint chiefs of staff Joseph Dunford will meet on Thursday, February 16, with his Russian counterpart Valery Gerasimov, the meeting will be held in Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku, said on Wednesday, February 15, the news Agency TASS with reference to the Pentagon.
According to the publication, Gerasimov and Dunford «will discuss a range of issues including the current state of us-Russian military relations and the importance of consistent and clear communication between the military in order to prevent miscalculations and potential crises».
TASS recalls that Dunford and Gerasimov regularly communicate by phone in December 2016, they discussed security issues in the middle East.
