The state office for consumer protection has fined on 400 thousand shekels company «Mei Micron» that sells stationary home water filters and their replacement.
The fine imposed in connection with mass cases of the introduction of the company’s employees misleading clients elderly. Most of the victims – people over 80 years old, many of them Russian-speaking immigrants.
Newspaper the Marker reported on cases where employees were posing as representatives of the companies-competitors and fraudulently persuaded to admit them in the elderly to sign an agreement to purchase.
Recall that from 2015 the law gave the office of consumer protection the right to fine violating the law of the company without the need for court proceedings.
In «Mei Micron» I say that all the cases of fraud bound with the contractor with whom the relationship is broken.
