Judge iris Lusha-Aboodi granted the petition filed by lawyer Hawai Klein from «institution for the benefit of the child» and banned children’s television («Aroc a-Yeladim») to broadcast in Prime time a series of the series «Teenagers» dedicated to pornography.
The series, according to the definition used for adolescents older than 8 years, was to be broadcast on Thursday at 20:30.
The court ordered the channel to change the category from 8+ to 14+ and move the broadcast at 22:00 hours.
As reported by portal NRG, the program included, among other things, the enumeration of the various names of male and female genitals, a verbal description of a sexual act, and a description of the issues related to pornography.
The management of the TV channel challenged the decision of the court, insisting that the series had been withdrawn in accordance with the curriculum of the Ministry of education and received separate approval from the Council for satellite and cable transmissions.
