Before the meeting of the President of the United States Donald trump and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in Hamburg on the sidelines of the summit of «Big twenty», the Daily Beast published an article alleging that the American leader is willing to agree to preserving Assad in power in Syria and the presence in this country of the Russian military.
In the article Spencer Ackerman also notes that U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson suggested to develop with our Russian colleagues «common mechanisms» of resolving the situation in Syria.
According to this source, in the General scheme of such settlement includes: the preservation of power of Bashar al-Assad, agreed to the creation of «security zones» (zones de-escalation) in the version proposed by Russia and its allies, cooperation with Russia and accept the presence of Russian troops in Syria.
However, as stated in the publication, the main goal will be to win over the «Islamic state», and the intermediate goal – the renewal of the coordination of Russian and American military in Syria, in order to avoid accidental collisions.
At the same time, Washington will insist on the inadmissibility of the use of the Syrian military chemical weapons and will not abandon use of force if the Assad regime uses such weapons.
Speaking about the change of strategy on Syria, The Daily Beast cites unnamed sources in the US administration and Congress. It is noted that the plan proposed by U.S. Secretary of state.
After the meeting, trump and Putin in Hamburg, Tillerson will go to Turkey, where, apparently, will discuss his «Syrian plan».
The publication notes that in the long term the United States will seek to break the Alliance between Russia and Iran.

In a statement the head of the state Department it was said: «the United States is ready to consider establishing joint mechanisms for ensuring stability, including a no-fly zone, observers on the ground for observance of the cease-fire, as well as coordinated delivery of humanitarian assistance».
