Thursday, August 17, from Cairo to Gaza arrived a joint delegation of the Palestinian factions which fought in Egypt, the negotiations on cooperation with Cairo and overcoming the crisis in Gaza.
According to the Safa news Agency, the delegation included a member of the Hamas political Bureau of Rauha Mushtaha, members of the Legislative Council of the PA of the parliamentary bloc «For reform and change» (Hamas) Salah Bardawil and Ismail al-Ashkar, a leader of Islamic Jihad Khalid al-Batsh, representatives of the «reformist wing» of Fatah Ashraf Jumaa and Majed Abu Shamala, and one of the leaders of the «Democratic front for the liberation of Palestine,» the Izz Abu Dakka.
They all belong to the so-called Advisory Committee, which was formed recently and is addressing the problems of health, education, financing and supply of electricity to Gaza residents.
How successful were the talks in Cairo, is unknown. Safa notes that the visit took place against the background of the negotiations which the leadership of Hamas has been one of the opposition leaders of Fatah’s Muhammad Dahlan.
Note that the Cairo talks took place against the backdrop of the investigation of the terrorist attack at the checkpoint «Rafah», where the explosion killed two people: the alleged suicide bomber of the Salafi factions and militant «Izaddina brigades of al-kasama» (armed wing of Hamas) which was used to patrol the border.
