Turkish citizen Osman Zeki Yalcin became Director General of the Jerusalem arbitration centre established to resolve disputes Israeli and Palestinian businessmen, according to «Hurriyet».
Before Yalcin worked in the analytical center of Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV). Last week he visited Israel. To fulfil its new responsibilities, Allchin plans to move his family to tel Aviv.
The Jerusalem arbitration was opened in 2013. It was co-chaired by Israeli businessman Oren Shahor, and the Palestinian businessman, Munib al-Masri and Turkish billionaire Rifat Hisarciklioglu.
Commenting on the appointment Alcina, Rifat Hisarciklioglu noted that the Center remains the only place of official meetings of representatives of Israeli and Palestinian business circles. He stressed that the «need for world trade, and trade needs peace».
The Jerusalem arbitration centre established under the auspices of the International chamber of Commerce (ICC). Shahor, the Israeli office is headed by the ICC, al-Masri, a Palestinian. The first Memorandum of understanding for the establishment of this structure was signed in 2011.
