Early on the morning of Wednesday, June 14, there was a fire in a residential high-rise building, Grenfell Tower in West London. The fire engulfed the 24-storey building. In total, Grenfell Tower was 120 apartments, which were home to several hundred people. How many people were in the tower at the time of the fire and how many of them were rescued, is still unknown.
To extinguish the fire were involved 40 fire engines and 200 fire service staff. The fire was hampered due to the narrow entrances to the burning house. There is a risk of building collapse.
Ambulance service British capital reports that in the hospital were delivered at least 50 victims of the fire.
