The foreign Ministers of Russia and Qatar held talks in Moscow on some issues, including the situation in Syria and urged the Syrian opposition to participate in peace dialogue.
The foreign Minister of Qatar Khalid bin Mohammad al-Attiyah has accused Syrian President Bashar al-Assad of supporting terrorists.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov, for his part, said that countries still have different attitudes to the question of the future of Assad, but urged the Syrian opposition to peace talks with the government.
Lavrov also said that Russia and Qatar for the security of the Gulf region is very close, but not identical.
At the meeting they also discussed bilateral relations, the Ministers agreed that there are serious prerequisites for development of trade and economic relations, especially in the areas of investment and energy.
