Monday, December 14, police questioned a former high-ranking official in the office of the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reported the press service of law enforcement agencies.
According to published information, he is suspected in a series of offences relating to the management of the company, which was in his possession, as well as several other episodes. The police assumes that the actions of the official had a conflict of interest («nigud inyanim»).
The suspect was charged with cheating the public trust and profit illegally.
After interrogation, the suspect was transferred under house arrest for five days, and according to police, he imposed additional restrictions.
The investigation is ongoing.
2 October, it was cleared for publication that the 38-year-old Perah Lerner, counselor of the Prime Minister of Israel, is suspected of fraud and breach of trust.
The investigation leads the organizational unit «LAHAV-433». Lerner was questioned in connection with suspicions about the use of his public position to promote private business interests of her husband AVI Lerner engaged in the PR business.
