Friday, December 2, on the official website of the Federal security service of the Russian Federation, it was reported that foreign special services are preparing attacks aimed at destabilizing the Russian financial system.
In the report, which cited all the leading Russian media, said: «the FSB received information about the preparation of foreign intelligence services in the period from 5 December 2016 large-scale cyber attacks with the aim of destabilizing the financial system of the Russian Federation, including the activities of a number of major Russian banks. As a result quickly-search actions it is established that the server power and command centers for cyber-attacks located in the territory of the Netherlands and belong to a Ukrainian hosting company BlazingFast. A cyber attack is planned to accompany a mass mailing of SMS messages and posts on social networks (blogs) provocative nature in respect of the credit crisis-the Russian financial system, the bankruptcy and withdrawal of licenses from several banks of Federal and regional significance. The campaign is aimed at several dozen cities of the Russian Federation».
The FSB says it will «conduct activities to neutralize threats to the economic and information security in connection with the received data.»
