The state Prosecutor passed to the court information about salaries and bonuses received by employees of the Israel electric company («Hevrat Hashmal»).
Data were transferred as part of a lawsuit filed by the state against the labour court granted the workers a «Hevrat Hashmal» unlimited right to strike against the reform of the electricity market, according to The Marker.
The prosecutors stated that workers «Hevrat Hashmal» is one of the most powerful, highest paid and most protected groups of workers.
Among other things, a collective bargaining agreement prohibits the firing of an employee for any reason without the consent of the working Committee.
The average salary 8.826 permanent employees of the company – 27 thousand shekels a month (the average salary of other state bodies of the 15.5 thousand NIS). Including the salaries of 350 workers, the company exceeded 52 thousand shekels a month.
Several thousand employees of the company received in 2016, the 13th salary, and a few hundred – and 14th salary.
The company spent 121 million shekels in 2016 on free electricity for the employees and retirees of the company.
