The government will approve at the next weekly meeting, the program to combat traffic accidents.
The program is scheduled for 2017-2018 years and its budget cost is four billion shekels.
The proposed program was developed by the Commission, which was headed by the Director General of the Ministry of head of government Ali Gruner.
According to published information, 3.5 billion shekels will be invested in the improvement of infrastructures of which 2.5 billion to improve highway and 240 million will be invested in small projects such as the opening of left turns in the countryside.
The program refers to the increase in the number of patrol cars of traffic police on 100 units of the additive bets 160 police officers.
In the framework of the programme special attention is paid to ensuring compliance with the rules of the road. Citizens will be able to transmit digitized footage depicting serious violations, such as speeding, overtaking is prohibited. Will also be used more modern tools to punish those guilty of violating the rules much faster than is done today. Will be created an inter-Ministerial database, which will include persons without a driver’s license.
For the implementation of certain paragraphs of the programme will require a change in the law.
