The Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov has filed a lawsuit against the head of the Odessa administration of Mikhail Saakashvili, publicly called the Minister «a thief» during a meeting of the National Council of reforms.
The incident occurred on December 10. Odessa Governor accused the Ukrainian government of corruption, after which the meeting broke out dispute between Avakov and Saakashvili. They insulted each other, and then the interior Minister threw the opponent in a glass of water. President Petro Poroshenko tried to calm the situation, but was forced to adjourn the meeting.
Avakov said that Saakashvili, calling him a thief, should be ready to answer for it in court. The interior Minister added that Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk also plans to file a lawsuit against the Governor of the Odessa region, reports NEWSru.ua.
Earlier media repeatedly reported the tension between Saakashvili and the government of Ukraine.
