The Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Saudi Arabia sent aircraft and soldiers on the Turkish base in preparation for ground anti-terrorist operations in Syria.
In conversation with the correspondent of the newspaper Yeni Safak Chashoglu said that Saudi Arabia sent a number of aircraft and troops to Incirlik, demonstrating the readiness together with Turkey to take part in operations against the terrorist organization «Islamic state» in Syria.
The Turkish Minister also said that Russian must stop the bombing, the victims of which are civilians. According to him, 88% of the blows the Russian aviation causes the moderate opposition, and only 12 percent are related to IG. Cavusoglu stressed that Russia wants to save Assad at any cost.
On the eve of U.S. Secretary of defense Ashton Carter said that Saudi Arabia and the UAE pledged to send special forces units to participate in anti-terrorist operations in Syria. The special forces from the UAE and Saudi Arabia will be to help the groups of the moderate Syrian opposition in addressing these problems, Carter said.
It should be noted that earlier Iran and Russia strongly objected to the participation of Saudi troops in the war in Syria, warning of high risk of development of a regional or even global war in this case. Foreign Minister Walid Mualem, in turn, said that the uninvited invaders is waiting for the death on Syrian soil.
