This week in the hospital «Hillel Yafe» in Hadera in serious condition was taken 15-year-old boy. He, like his parents, was diagnosed with typhus or tick-borne rickettsiosis. The press service of the hospital reports that the boy’s condition is estimated as critical, there are serious concerns for his life.
The boy’s mother suffered a disease and was discharged from the hospital.
The teenager’s father is in intensive care in serious condition.

Doctors say that the incubation period of tick-borne ricketsiosis lasts from 2 to 7 days. On the site of the tick bite appears soreness, redness, in the center of which is visible a small infiltration with the crust. And sick fever, an increase in the lymph nodes can be a headache. After two or three days rash, nausea, vomiting, pain in the abdomen.
In most cases the disease is mild nature and takes place without consequences, but in cases when the disease is severe, without medical intervention, the patient may experience complications such as pneumonia, encephalitis, kidney failure, liver problems and blood clotting. In the most severe cases, the disease can lead to death.
