The Israeli company IMI Systems announced on Tuesday, January 30, developed by protection system of the UAV Red Sky 2 was first tested in real conditions in October 2017 in Thailand.
According to the report, the system covered the funeral of the king of Thailand Rama IX, which was attended by official representatives of 42 countries, the Royal family of Thailand and about 250 thousand inhabitants of the country.
During the procession the system is fixed and prevented two attempts to use drones to cover its area.
Easy mobile system Red Sky 2, covering the territory with a radius of 3 to 5 kilometers, is able to recognize and eliminate suspicious unmanned aircraft.
The system was purchased, the air force Thailand a week before the funeral of the king in preparation for the ceremony.
The newspaper «kalkalist» informs that after successful testing at the funeral of the Thai air force again applied the Red Sky 2 in November 2017 held in Pattaya, a parade of international naval fleets.
