Officer of the Royal air force Jordan Majdi al-Samadi was dismissed after he refused to go to Israel to participate in joint exercises with the IDF air force. About it reports a site of the Second Israeli TV channel with reference to Jordanian media.
The website quotes the brother of the dismissed pilots, employees of TV company «al-Jazeera». According to him, on hearing where he was sent, the officer stated that he became a military pilot in order to fight with the Israelis, and not do joint exercises.
Relatives of the pilot outraged that he was dismissed from the army, depriving of privileges, laid by the outgoing officers of the air force. They claim that the authorities are hushing up the incident, but they are not going to allow that to happen.
Israel and Jordan do not advertise their military cooperation. In recent months, king Abdullah has repeatedly made anti-Israeli statements, accusing the government of Benjamin Netanyahu are seeking to change the status quo on the Temple mount.
The Jewish state has denied these allegations. However, representatives of the Cabinet say they are willing to defend Jordan from external threats, first among which is «Islamic state».
