After a siege that lasted 20 hours, the police managed to eliminate the unknown entered the house of the Vice-President of Kenya William Ruto. The Vice President and his family were out of town, AFP reports.
The attack on the house of the Vice-President occurred on Saturday, July 29, two weeks before the country’s presidential elections, in which Ruto together with the President of Kenya will run for a second term.
Police earlier reported that an unknown man armed with a machete, inflicted serious wounds to a policeman guarding the house of the Vice-President, took the gun of the security guard and entered the residence.
However, other AFP sources claim that the attackers were few, and they were armed with guns.
