In the night of 4 August, the Knesset approved second and third readings the amendment to the law on the spam that distribute its action on a non-profit, charitable and religious organizations.
In accordance with the adopted amendments, prohibited the calls from answering machines with the suggestions to visit the graves of the righteous,» or mass mailing sms-messages with requests for donation, if the recipient has not given their active consent to receive such messages.
Recall that in June 2008, came into force a law banning spam. According to this law, the recipient of the spam has the right to monetary compensation in the amount of 1,000 shekels without having to prove damages. The law does not apply to cases where the man himself gave permission to receive spam. Since then, there have been several amendments to this act.
