At the plenary session of the Knesset approved in preliminary reading a law on conscription, which caused a coalition crisis.
Radio «Kahn Beth» reported that 58 MPs supported the bill and 39 voted against.
Deputies from the party «Israel Our home», including the Minister of the Landwehr, voted against it.
On the evening of 13 December, the coalition factions agreed to compromise, according to which after the adoption of the law in a preliminary reading, at the beginning of the summer session there will be significant changes. After the approval in the first reading, the bill will again be subjected to editing and only after that will be passed to the Knesset for final approval.
