Tuesday, January 30, at the Knesset held a backgammon tournament. As the press service of the Parliament, the initiators of the event were MPs David Amsalem and Soir Bahlul.
The event was attended by deputies of Yehuda Glick, Omer Bar-Lev, Oren Hazan, Lea Fadida, Hamad Amar, MOSI Times and meirav Ben-Ari. The winner of the tournament was Oren Hazan.
Knesset speaker Yuli Edelstein defeated former defense Minister, Amir Peretz MP. Edelstein said: «It’s a beautiful moment when neither the coalition nor the opposition, nor Jews, nor Arabs, nor secular, nor religious…».
The initiator of the tournament, the Deputy Soir Bahlul said that the idea of the event, he learned the non-profit organization that arranges backgammon tournaments between residents of the Arab neighborhoods of Jerusalem and the Jews.
