3, thousands of families from the Arab part of Jerusalem appealed to the high court with a request to transfer their children to schools under the control of the state of Israel. Parents have been filed within the appeal about the establishment of new classes in Jerusalem, reports the website of NRG.
As explained by the author of the material, Natual Bandel, the Parent organization of Jerusalem says that the city is sorely lacking classes, especially in the Arab part. The high court ordered the state to create them. But city hall has not added enough classes, since, according to the state, there is no demand for such a large number.
In response, the Parent organization of Jerusalem has set up a Committee of parents from the Eastern part of the city. They appealed to the high court and the city hall with a request to transfer their children from private Palestinian schools in Israeli public schools.
The President of the parents organization Jerusalem Paz Cohen argues that the city lacks 3800 classes, of which 2 thousand – in the Arab part.
