Wednesday, 3 February, a special Commission will approve the proposed list of criteria for providing assistance to the Arab sector, according to «Israel a-Yom».
According to published information, the proposal will be submitted to the government for consideration at the next meeting.
As conditions of receiving assistance from the Arab sector will be required to open 10 new police stations in Arab settlements. The total cost of such project estimated at 800 million shekels. It is also about the call to service in the police force of 1,350 residents of the Arab settlements. In addition, the Commission recommends to approve the programme of tightening measures on observance of legality in the field of construction in the Arab sector.
Settlements, in which for two years not eliminate the violation of the building act, will not be able to obtain financing.
The development plan for the Arab sector was approved by the government on December 30. The program includes structural changes in the mechanism of state budgeting with a view to reducing social inequality and accelerate the pace of economic development in this sector. The draft programme was formed according to the results of the work done by the working staff, which included representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Prime Minister’s office and Ministry of intersectoral equality, as well as representatives of local authorities and civil society activists.
Note that on December 30, the press service of the head of the government pointed out that within 30 days the government should be presented with recommendations on the issues of legal supervision, the task of which is to strengthen legislatively in the planning and implementation of construction.
