Sunday, July 16, the Ministerial Committee on legislation approved the bill about «United Jerusalem», submitted by Knesset member Shuli Mualem («Bayt Yehudi»).
According to the text of the bill, any decision relating to the integrity of Jerusalem or changes in the framework of a political agreement must be approved by a majority of not less than 80 deputies.
This bill should have been discussed at the Commission on 2 July. However, the question was withdrawn by decision of the Prime Minister. After that, the version of the bill was jointly developed by the Ministers Naftali Bennett (the»Bayt Yehudi») and Zeev Elkin (Likud).
