Passengers Israeli trains are accustomed to periodic disruptions in the timetable due to infrastructure works or accidents, but this week the reason for stopping of trains at the station «Savidor Merkaz» in tel Aviv has become a runaway cat.
As reported by TV company «Sieves», the cat Guri, owned by the Director of the organization for animal rights «HPI Le-Hayot Lihyot» («Let the animals live»), escaped on the way to the veterinary clinic and hid on the territory of the railroad near the station «Savidor Merkaz».
Journalist Liron Zayd writes that the owner of the cat appealed to the Minister of transport Yisrael Katz, who gave the leadership of the Israeli railway company («Rakevet Israel») available to help in the search for the fugitive. CEO Shahar Ayalon ordered his subordinates to «do everything possible».
Employees of the company almost a week have been searching for the cat, placing along the railroad trap. In the beginning of the week had traces of Guri, after which the head of the security service «Rakevet Israel» stopped the movement of trains and along with hunter cats caught the escapee and returned it to the hostess.
