The death toll from tornadoes in the southern United States has risen to 14 people, dozens of people were injured. Damaged or destroyed hundreds of homes, according to the Associated Press.
In Mississippi, the total death toll was seven people, including a 7-year-old child and 18-year-old girl, suffered an eight month old child in Tennessee – six people in Arkansas are the same person.
Powerful tornado was observed in Eastern Arkansas, Northwest Mississippi, northeast Louisiana and West Tennessee.
Meteorologists warn that today the formation of a tornado is possible in the Central regions of Tennessee, southern Kentucky, Northern Alabama, northeastern Mississippi, and Ohio.
Search and rescue operations in the tornado-affected areas are continuing.
