The police formally rejected the complaint on the violation of the law on the boycott, filed in November 2016 in connection with the events at Ariel University.
A police report was filed by the head of student cell of the organization «Im tirtsu» at Ariel University, is a graduate of the University of France RAM. He accused the representative of gush Shalom, Adam Keller in an attempt to prevent the holding in Ariel University international conference on the history of the Jewish people and the Jewish spiritual heritage.
Foreign scientists and teachers invited to the conference received on behalf of the movement, «gush Shalom» composed by Keller letters in which it was reported that the Ariel University is located in the disputed territories, resulting in «participation in this event will inevitably be seen as an expression of support for the position of Israel in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.»
Attempt to disrupt the event failed international conference in Ariel University was held with great success. Note that in accordance with the law enacted by the Knesset on 11 July 2011, public call for cultural, academic or economic boycott of Israel is a crime, granting the right to sue for damages.
