Monday, June 12, the press service of the police reported that the completed investigation against Ezra Garashi, occupying the post of head of the local Council of Emmanuele.
The head of the Council was suspected of electoral corruption, and the investigators of the police (LAHAV-433) concluded that there is enough evidence to Garasi was tried.
Garasi was suspected that during the municipal elections in 2013, he received the support of voters belonging to CHABAD, promising to carry out the illegal appointments to various posts in the local Council. According to the suspicions, Garasi also promised financial support to educational institutions of Chabad.
The investigation had questioned a large number of suspected of involvement in offences.
